Before the Rescue
It was a chilly morning when I first heard the faint cries coming from the bushes near my apartment complex. Initially, I thought it was just birds chirping, but the sound was different. It was persistent and desperate. Curiosity piqued, I decided to investigate. As I approached the source, I found a tiny, shivering kitten nestled among the leaves. The little creature was barely 20 days old, with eyes that had just opened and a fragile body that seemed too delicate for the world.
The kitten was alone, with no mother in sight. It was clear that immediate intervention was necessary. I gently scooped up the kitten, wrapping it in a soft towel I had brought along. As I carried it home, I could feel its tiny heart beating rapidly, a testament to the fear and uncertainty it must have been feeling.
The Rescue Process
Once home, I set about creating a warm and safe environment for the kitten. A small cardboard box lined with a soft blanket became its temporary home.
